Try grew up in Zambia and was raised by a single parent (mom). Having experienced social and economical hardships, he decided to study a four year bachelors degree in Social work at University of Zambia with aim to contributing in the provision of quality and life sustaining social, psychological and economical services to groups with special needs and those who could be going through what he went though in society.
He worked as Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator for the Zambia Red Cross Society for 3 years, providing preparedness, mitigation, and recovery programs to the disaster-affected communities and responding to all emergency alerts in his catchment area.
He later immigrated to America in 2010. With the congenital passion to work with people with special needs in society, Try became a DSP and worked for Peace Home in San Leandro for 3 years before joining Alegria Community Living in 2013 in the same capacity.
Try is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a master’s degree in Business Administration [specialty in Human Resource Management], and currently pursuing his PHD in Finance and Investment.
