John was born and raised in the Philippines and migrated to the US in 2002. He enlisted in the US Navy from 2003 – 2010 and was deployed during the conflict in the Middle East. After being Honorably Discharged, he went to Nursing School and became a Licensed Nurse and had experience working in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, and home health care.
He became part of the Alegria family in 2011, started as a DSP, and was promoted to Lead Staff in 2013. He left the company in 2017 to venture into a different career path, but a phone call from the Executive Director and Nursing Manager prompted him to return to the company in 2022. Since then, he became a Nursing Support Specialist, a CPR instructor, and works as a direct assistant to the Nursing Manager.
Outside Alegria, he is a Home Health Nurse and a Licensed Financial Consultant.
In his free time, he likes to spend time with his niece and nephew, go fishing, and hit the gun range. He’s always had a servant heart and truly believes no individual or family should be left behind, especially Individuals with Developmental Disability. He uses his expertise as a voice and an advocate for the Disabled Community.
