Originally from Eritrea, Munir began his journey toward a new life when he migrated from Egypt to the United States 15 years ago.

Munir earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from San Francisco State University, laying the foundation for a career focused on connecting people to meaningful work.
With over 8 years of experience in the talent acquisition field, he has held various roles including recruiter, sourcer, and recruiting coordinator. Currently, he serves as a Talent Recruiter at Alegria Community Living, where he is passionate about identifying and placing dedicated professionals in roles that make a real difference in people’s lives.

He enjoys his work because he gets to play a direct role in helping people find opportunities that truly change their lives. As a recruiter, he is not just filling roles, but connecting individuals to careers where they can grow, contribute, and feel valued. He also loves the human side of recruiting: listening to people’s stories, understanding their goals, and helping them take the next step in their journey. Having gone through his path of migration and career-building, he knows how powerful the right opportunity can be and is passionate about being part of that process for others.

Being part of Alegria has also allowed him to grow professionally, contribute to a mission he believes in, and stay connected to the values of empathy and community that are so important to him.

Outside of his professional life, he is passionate about soccer — both playing and coaching. The game has been a big part of his life for years. Coaching, in particular, gives him a chance to mentor others, build teamwork, and stay active in the community.
