Najia started working in Algeria Community living back in 2012. Naija started her career volunteering at the Alameda County Family Justice Center, working in the activities department and planning events for children who experienced hardship. She enjoyed her job so much that she decided to go to school and major in Sociology and Social Service and earned a bachelor’s degree from Cal State University.

Najia completed an internship with Alameda County Juvenile Hall which was a nice experience to work with the youth and visiting school districts meeting youth from different backgrounds who had challenges with behavior. Furthermore, she took a position as a residential counselor working with youth with behavioral challenges for two years. Once she accumulated knowledge in area of social work field, Najia decided to become part of Algeria community Living, where she gained valuable experience by working with individuals with disabilities.
