Vicki began her working career in 1997 at a public special education school in Carmi, Illinois. While there, she was involved in every aspect of the school. She worked on academics, independent living, vocational, and social skills with the students. Vicki conceptualized, developed, and produced specialized work sheets, which helped the students accomplish their goals. For over 10 years, Vicki was a coach, mentor, and trainer with the Special Olympics. Her teams represented nine different sports and frequently competed at the state level. In 2007, she moved to California and began working with Alegria Community Living starting as a Direct Support Professional, progressing to Lead Staff then Home Administrator II. Vicki is a certified Adult Residential Facility Administrator and a certified Activities Director. Vicki enjoys her time spent with the residents. Her philosophy is to make each moment a learning moment and a fun moment. Vicki enjoys spending time with her husband; they are both big baseball fans who root first for the Giants and then the A’s. When not at baseball games they love to travel. Vicki is the mother of two and a proud grandmother of one.
