Carla began her career in Social Service over 35 years ago, coordinating services for adults and children with intellectual and physical disabilities in Illinois, New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. She started working with Alegria Community Living in 2007 in the initial stages of transition from the developmental centers to community placement. She held the position of Home Administrator for two Alegria’s residential facilities and in 2019 was promoted to Deputy Director for Quality Assurance which furthers her philosophy to promote independence and quality of life for all. Carla also provides essential training to Alegria’s staff on reporting requirements the behavioral MANDT system.

Carla has been a certified yoga instructor for over 30 years and has provided instructions for all ages and abilities in Ashtanga Vinyasa, restorative and prenatal yoga. Her dedication to helping others in both forms of service is a natural balance as she aspires to remain present throughout this journey.
